Surf Lesson’s
Kauai Beach Boys are preserving and honoring the Golden Age of surfing, steeped in tradition from the 50’s and 60’s and the beach boy legacy of love of the ocean and sharing of Aloha. Under the same ownership since 1983, Kauai Beach Boys is Kauai’s original surf school, teaching lessons on Kauai’s best learning beach, kalapaki beach.
They are a family of water enthusiasts eager to share their passion for the ocean, and have a deep respect for water, a love for surfing and paddling, and pride in their chosen profession.
A variety of lessons are available. Group lessons of no more than 6 people, Semi-private lessons with 2-3 people, or private lessons with 1-2 people. You’ll have the best surf instructors, and gear including a board, leash and rash guard.
With gentle trade winds and the protection of Kalapaki Bay, the surf is always up!

- You must know how to swim, Ages 10+
- Location: Kauai Beach Boys Kalapaki Beach, next to Dukes Restaurant. 3500 Rice Str., Lihue HI 96766. Property of Royal Sonesta Kauai Resort.
- Check-in 5-10 min before lesson start. Activity starts promptly.

- All clients taking surf lessons must know how to swim.
- Minimum age to participate is 10 years old.
- Weather Concerns: Lessons are rarely cancelled due to rain. If the team determines that there are no existing safety issues of concern, such as flash flood, extreme winds, or strong currents, the lesson will run as scheduled. Rain around the island is often an unpredictable temporary event.

- No refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of activity
- For groups of 6+ there are no refunds for cancellations within 72 hours of activity
- We will gladly reschedule your activity at no extra cost if changes are made prior to the 48 or 72 hour cancellation period
- Cancellations from date of booking to 48 hours before activity or for larger groups 72 hours before activity are subject to a 10% service charge
- If for some reason we are unable to confirm your reservation with the activity operator due to oversold seats or other unforeseen reasons, a full refund will be provided and you will be notified immediately to discuss alternative dates and activities
If a tour operator cancels any trip due to weather, mechanical failure, unsafe conditions, or insufficient reservations, a full refund will be provided.
